Youth Related ASB and Street Drinking
Issued: 10 Mar 2026
Status Update
Residents have continued to report concerns around youth-related anti-social behaviour and incidents of street drinking in the area. Our PCSOs are working closely with the local councillor, residents, and businesses to identify effective solutions. This includes exploring improved youth provision, considering environmental changes to design out crime, and taking robust action against persistent offenders. We are also looking to increase our visibility across Blurton through police surgeries and local drop-in sessions, giving residents the opportunity to speak with officers directly, share their concerns, and help shape our ongoing response.

Drug Related Concerns
Issued: 10 Mar 2026
Status Update
A large portion of residents have raised that drugs are top of their list of concerns for the area. This isn't something we as the police are receiving reports or intelligence about. To help us to tackle your concerns, we'd encourage residents to reach out to the police either directly or via Crimestoppers, to help us build that picture into enforcement action. Any reports can be made anonymously.

Off Road Bikes, ASB from noise and damage to local green spaces.
Issued: 10 Mar 2026
Status Update
To tackle this, we are continuing Operation Transom in partnership with Stoke-on-Trent City Council. This involves the neighbourhood policing team, roads policing unit, local authority anti-social behaviour (ASB) team, and dedicated communications support. The goal is clear: to identify offenders, take enforcement action, and reassure the public through visible and proactive policing. As part of our ongoing work, we have carried out targeted days of action. These operations include the use of drones, NPAS (police helicopter), a fixed-wing aircraft, and specially trained officers using off-road bikes. This allows us to safely pursue and apprehend offenders, even in hard-to-reach areas.
